To my wife Mary Dent four Negroes viz: Henry, carpenter and Jayne his wife, Dick or Richard and Lette his wife and the house and plantation I now live on during her natural life with the funiture in the house but what she shall think fit to give to her children as they marry with liberty of tending and clearing as far down and up the swamp as the plantation now is that as far as Joseph Marlows fence and as low down as the dividing line by Thomas Tenants during her natural life. To my daughter Elizabeth Dent her choice of Negroes available at the time of my death with full liberty of living in the house with her mother during the time she shall be unmarried. I have already given to my son Peter Dent what Negroes and stock and made over some land to him. I give him the sum of 10 shillngs current money with a confirmation of what I have already given him. To my son William Dent all the lands I have any right to in Frederick County as also what he has already in his possession. To my daughters Mary beall and Lucy Hardye 5 shillings each together with what they already have in their possession. To my daughter Anne Dent one Negro, furniture with full liberty of living in my dwelling house until married. To my son Thomas Dent one Negro boy called Jeremiah son of Sarah and one half of the land that whall be found between the house where Joseph Marlow now lives and the upper end thereof as well, of what land I have or may take up as of the original tract called White Haven the whole to be equally divided between my said son Thomas and his brother Walter, Thomas to have first chioce after the division is made. To my daughter Anne Dent one young Negro and if unmarried at my death then to have her equal part of what is left unwilled after her mother's death with the liberty of living in my now dwelling house and to have the use of the plantation during the time she shall live unmarried. To my daughter Eleanor Dent one young Negro to be delivered her at the day of marriage with the same liberty of the dwelling house and plantation during the time she shall remain single as mentioned to her sisters Elizabeth and Anne. To my son Walter one Negro boy called George son of Harry and Jenny, furniture and the other half of my land that shall be found about the house where Joseph Marlow now lives. To my little daughter Barbara Dent one young Negro named Timothy son of Susan with the same privilge of living in my dwelling house until married. To my youngest son Richard Dent one young Negro called Charles son of Sarah, furniture and the remaining part of my tract of land called White Haven and any other adjacent that I have taken up that is to say from Joseph Marlow's now dwelling house to join to the land alredy made over to my son Peter Dent.
